October 2022. Final project for an online animated GIF course I took through MICA. This technically loops but the actual GIF file is too big for a website, so you get the M4A I made that includes the artist's music. We had to make an "animated poster" for a musician we liked. Go listen to Mei Semones if you haven't heard her before.
September 2022. Larger-scale freehand reproduction of a sketchbook drawing from life. Coffee Point, Alaska.
August 2022. Album cover for Alpha Girl's "The Original Cast Recording." Pen and watercolor marker on watercolor paper. I did a full digital color study of this in between the outlining and the final coloring.

When Covid hit, my aunt began to write haikus about her daily life and her love of nature as a way to process what she was experiencing. As a surprise Christmas gift, my mom compiled all of the poems she had written between March and October of 2020. My mom asked me to pick a few to illustrate, and then she compiled everything into a book for my aunt. The following four haikus were written by my aunt, and were "published" with the accompanying illustrations.
Haiku #4: (illustration completed 11.07.2020)

The war of the weeds
Invasion of invasives
Garden overthrown
Haiku #3 (illustration completed 10.27.2020)
